WELCOME!
Welcome to our home. We are a family of four, two parents, a boy and a girl, 11 and 7 years old. Here you can see some pictures of the inside and outside of our house.
Our House in the Woods
Our beautiful, spacious modern home is situated in an acre of jungle and woods in a convenient suburban neighborhood of Orlando, just east of lovely Winter Park, Florida, home of Rollins College, and minutes from the University of Central Florida. We are 45 minutes from Disney and the other theme parks, and less than an hour to the beach (Cocoa Beach, Canaveral National Seashore and Cape Canaveral). The Saint Johns River, Hontoon Island State Park, Blue Springs State Park, Wekiva Springs State Park, and many other lakes, springs and natural attractions are less than an hour's drive.
Our house was built in 1972. There are three large bedrooms, two full baths and two porches upstairs, and a large bedroom downstairs with a shower that looks out to the garden, and an adjacent office with a single bed futon. There are many large windows looking out into the woods, where you may see hawks, owls, armadillos, gopher tortoises, and lots of squirrels, cardinals, and lizards - if you are very lucky you may see a bald eagle!

Living Room from the Balcony
Our house was designed like a New England Barn. Very unusual for Florida. There are three large bedrooms and two baths upstairs, and another large master bedroom and bath, which we use as a guestroom, downstairs.
Living Room
We are a family of academics and artists. We are all avid readers and movie watchers. We are interested in art, nature, and the environment. Our children are well behaved and love to travel. We are attending a conference in Copenhagen May 23-25 and we hope to spend May 23- June 1 in Denmark or Sweden, close to Copenhagen. We could also do a non-simultaneous swap, or a hospitality exchange at other times. Please write to us with your proposal.
Depending on our schedules, we would also be open to other offers in the fall and winter. In December for the Christmas holidays we would like to travel with my parents and brother, and are open to any possibilities for a house that would hold seven.
We have allergies, so no pets and no smoking allowed. We can arrange for friends to meet you and get you settled into the house. We are on a quiet dead-end street, but very close to restaurants, shopping, playgrounds, bike paths, and the pretty towns of Winter Park and Maitland. We are 20 Minutes from Downtown Orlando, About 25 minutes from Orlando International Airport, and 20 minutes from Orlando Sanford International, where there are often inexpensive flights available from Europe via Icelandair.

lemon blossoms
In February the scent of the lemon blossoms is wonderful. You can smell them as you soak in the hot tub!
